Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Auction Bid Calculator Chrome extension, bidcalculator.co.uk and the associated services (together, the "Service"), operated by Pricing Logic Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales. By installing the extension or using the Service you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Auction Bid Calculator provides cost, fee and profitability calculators for auction buyers and online resellers, including auction true-cost calculations, eBay fee estimates and Amazon resale checks powered by third-party market data.

2. Estimates, not advice

Important: every figure the Service produces — fees, margins, break-even prices, market prices — is an estimate for guidance only. Platform fees change, categories vary, and market prices move. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax or professional advice. Always verify fees and prices with the relevant platform before bidding, buying or selling. You bid and trade at your own risk.

3. Accounts

The auction and eBay calculators can be used without an account.
Amazon resale checks require a free account (sign-in via Clerk). You're responsible for keeping access to your sign-in method secure.
You must be at least 16 to create an account, and 18+ to purchase a subscription.
One free allowance per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent the monthly free limit is not permitted.

4. Free tier and Pro subscription

Free: unlimited auction and eBay calculations, plus a monthly allowance of Amazon resale checks (currently 10 per calendar month, resetting on the 1st, UTC). We may adjust the free allowance with reasonable notice.
Pro: unlimited Amazon resale checks for £4.99/month or £49/year (prices include VAT where applicable). Billing is handled by Stripe and recurs automatically until cancelled.
Cancelling: anytime via "Manage subscription" in the extension (Stripe's customer portal). You keep Pro access until the end of the paid period. Except where the law requires otherwise (see below), fees already paid are non-refundable.
UK/EU consumers: you have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a new subscription. By starting to use Pro features immediately you consent to immediate supply; if you cancel within 14 days we may deduct a proportionate charge for the service already provided.
Launch promise: subscribers who join at launch pricing keep that price for as long as their subscription remains continuously active.

5. Fair use

"Unlimited" means unlimited human use through the extension. Automated scraping, bulk querying, reselling access to the Service's data, or attempting to bypass metering or authentication is prohibited and may result in suspension or termination. We may apply reasonable rate limits to protect the Service.

6. Third-party platforms and data

The Service is an independent tool. We are not affiliated with Auction Technology Group, BidSpotter, i-bidder, eBay, Amazon, Keepa, Stripe or Clerk. All trademarks belong to their owners; references are for compatibility description only.
Market data is supplied by third parties and may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. Your use of auction platforms and marketplaces remains subject to their own terms.

7. Intellectual property

We (and our licensors) own the Service, including its software, design and content. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the extension for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer (except as permitted by law), or redistribute the Service.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" — we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and third-party data sources may be unavailable from time to time. We may modify features, and may discontinue the Service with at least 30 days' notice to subscribers (with a pro-rata refund of any prepaid period beyond the shutdown date).

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that: we are not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service — including decisions made in reliance on its estimates; and our total aggregate liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid us in that period (or £50 if you paid nothing).

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where practicable.

11. General

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction (consumers retain any mandatory protections of their home jurisdiction). If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged on this page with a new "last updated" date, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
